Treatments

Acupuncturists use Many Different Modalities During the Coarse of Treatment, Some of Which are Described Below:

Acupuncture itself uses very fine needles inserted into the skin. Some needles are retained for a short period, while others are inserted and removed once the desired effect is obtained.

Moxibustion is the burning of herbs over an acupuncture point. This treatment helps promote circulation and quickly eases pain. Many patients consider this their favorite part of an acupuncture treatment.

Electrical Stimulation is also done through needles to help ease pain. Children are often treated without needles via electric stimulation.
